EVELYN MACKAY, B.A., RN (Retired) interested in all things of a spiritual nature, Evelyn bravely attended an advertised Metaphysical group where she knew no one! Here, she first heard mention of Edgar Cayce. Out of the many suggested pathways to spiritual education, she chose to explore the Cayce material because, to be honest, it was the least expensive! At that time, most other avenues into spiritual insight and learning did have a fee involved. With the Cayce material, she purchased There is a River by Tom Sugrue and she soon realized there was a lot to learn.

In Guelph, the first Search For God meeting was conducted by Frank Thomas who brought two enthusiastic young men to Evelyn’s living room for an information evening. On the strength of this evening, a study group evolved. While some aspirants came and then moved on, seven or so attended regularly and this core group met for some 35 years.

The High Self is the spark of God within each of us! Entering at birth, that spark is said to continue, after death, outside the human form, as consciousness. Mr Cayce says: ”We can know the self to be itself.” This is the true self. This true self, this High Self, is a part of God within each of us.

The workshop is about connecting with High Self and in so doing, make it a part of our spiritual growth. We can talk about how it enhances dream work, guides meditation and answers prayer, all of which add to our spiritual understanding
